We planted these vines in 2015. The geographical situation is similar to that described for Bourgogne Chardonnay. We therefore have on relatively identical soils two different wine expressions, a red and a white. These are early terroirs, which we always pick up first. For maceration, the percentage of whole harvests varies from year to year. The relatively short aging takes place in stainless steel vats. A wine with fruit to drink over the next 5 years.

Producer: Domaine Chardigny

A family estate between Beaujolais and Burgundy.

It is between Burgundy and Beaujolais that the Chardigny estate cultivates vines and transforms magnificent grapes into quality wines. The exploitation of an area of 20 hectares extends over different clay-limestone slopes.

In 2015, on the strength of various commercial experiences, Pierre-Maxime took over the estate. Quickly, Victor, holder of an oenology diploma, joined him. They are supported by their brother Jean-Baptiste, also working in viticulture and their father who made his career in the bottling of wine at the property.

The estate has 8 hectares of Saint-Véran among the best slopes of the appellation, 6 hectares of Saint-Amour, 3 hectares of Beaujolais-Villages and 3 hectares of Burgundy. The vines are cultivated organically, that is to say without synthetic pesticides or herbicides. The good health of the soil and the vines are the key to having quality grapes allowing the production of unique wines.

All their vines are cultivated according to the principles of organic farming.
