The Pellegrini family's connection with the world of wine dates back to the end of the 19th century, first with the opening of an inn and then with the beginning of the wholesale trade of wine and must in Lombardy. With the acquisition of Fattoria di Petrognano, in the 1960s, the family's winemaking experience began, and since then they have been directly involved in wine production. Emanuele Pellegrini, who is now at the helm of the company, represents the fourth generation with which Fattoria di Petrognano inaugurates a new course guided by three fundamental principles: valorization of tradition with a spirit of applied research, environmental sustainability and great passion. What best represents this new production philosophy is the bond between Emanuele Pellegrini and Monica Rossetti, united in life as well as in work. Raising the quality of wines through a strong message of naturalness and authenticity is their goal. Monica, an Italian-Brazilian winemaker and wife of Emanuele - is entrusted with the technical management of the cellar. Through this union, the history of the Pellegrini family opens up to an international and innovative horizon. The company has always vinified and bottled only the product of its vineyards, this characteristic - combined with respect for the strong identity elements of the territory - guarantees and strengthens the value of the wines of Fattoria di Petrognano. Keeping these principles firm, Emanuele and Monica look to the future together with the project of new wines.
